Lyrics

VERSE 1
Blossoms
Fallin'
From trees
Autumn

Your name
Callin'
My heart
All in

I can’t
Have them
When it’s
Not Spring

I’m free
Fallin’
Must be
Drawlin’

HOOK
Blossoms don’t bloom in the wintertime
I shouldn’t love what can’t be mine
Blossoms don’t bloom in the wintertime
I shouldn’t love what can’t be mine

VERSE 2
Feelings
Called out
Silence
Fallout

Patience
All out
Make up
Make out

So soft
Your touch
Your heart
So tough

So clear
So rough
I’m not
Enough

HOOK
Blossoms don’t bloom in the wintertime
I shouldn’t love what can’t be mine
Blossoms don’t bloom in the wintertime
I shouldn’t love what can’t be mine

POEM
What happens to a love lost?
Does it fill up with frost?

I found you sitting there under the pear tree in serenity.
Pear in palm which you tore asunder, handing one half to me.
Drooping drupe’s thunder. Lightning so sweet.
Smothered by the stars in your eyes I found your face too bright.
I was a hollow knight—a fallow fellow—
You saw through me and told me to take off my fears for this was hallow ground.
Although frightful, I had my night-full.
Ready for new intensity, I plunged fate-first into your warm sound.
Your siren saddled the seahorse of my heart.
Your caress lay dew rests on my clay.
Your lips terraformed me into your acolyte.
When I asked your name you said, “I am the appetite.”
